LABOUR Communications spokesman Tommy Broughan, has slammed Dublin City Council’s approach to broadband roll-out in the capital.

His office claims to have asked Dublin city manager John Fitzgerald if he was considering a citywide public access wireless broadband programme. The response was there are difficulties in identifying the funding.

Mr Broughan said this displays a “total lack of ambition and innovation.”
