Cork City FC made a loss of €211,747 last year, the club’s financial results filed this week show.

The club is majority owned by Dermot Usher, but has significant minority investment from David Cronin, co-founder of WYLDE Esports. The accounts of Cantonlane Ltd, trading as Cork City FC, follow on from a loss of €754,791 made in 2024. In 2025, Cork City were relegated from the League of Ireland Premier Division. They bounced back in 2026, as runaway winners of the First Division.

The club’s 2025 financial reports says that total equity invested stood at €1,932,600. During the year Cantonlane Limited received an amount of €900,000 from Holmglade Limited. Holmglade Limited is the investment holding company controlled by Mr Usher.

“Parent company, Holmglade Limited continues to have significant liquid financial resources available to it for continued investment and financial support in its subsidiary, Cantonlane Limited,” the report noted.

In 2025, the company had 41 employees – 26 players, four in management and coaching, and 11 administrative staff.

The club had accrued income of €818,929 in 2025.

In September 2026, a US consortium declared an interest in taking over the club. Monarch Sports Partners, fronted by Shane Lohman, floated a figure of €3.75m to take over but the offer was not entertained by the owners.

City spent the 2026 season in the First Division, after the 2025 relegation season where they also reached the FAI Cup final, losing to Shamrock Rovers. The club had started 2025 under the management of Tim Clancy, but he resigned in May, to be replaced by Ger Nash. Mr Nash resigned just before Christmas 2025.

Under new manager Barry Robson, the club have made an immediate return to the Premier Division, easing to the First Division but attendances declined at the lower level. The club will hope the return to the Premier Division will bring back the crowds.

Last week, the club announced its ticketing structure for the new League of Ireland Premier Division season in 2027. The pricing structure for individual games will be €24 for adults, €8 for children, and €17 for juvenile/senior.

Full price adult season tickets are priced at €345 - working out at €18.05 per game - with an early bird discount to €325 for purchases before December 31, while existing season ticket holders can renew for €299.

Full price child season tickets are €115 and €259 for juveniles and seniors, with significant discounts for both for early bird purchases and renewals.
