A Kerry firm providing motor loan finance has seen its loan book pass the €100m milestone for the first time.

Finance For You is headquartered in Killarney and was founded by Brian Leslie in 2017, writing just 22 loans worth €180,000 in its first year of trading. The non-bank lender has advanced more than €200m in hire purchase funding to over 16,000 customers in the nine years since foundation.

Finance For You now employs 26 people, offering borrowing for motor loans of between €3,750 and €45,000, with finance also available to motorists who have difficulty getting finance from mainstream lenders.

“Passing €100m (in its current loan book) is a proud moment for everyone at Finance For You. We wrote 22 loans in our first year. Today we work with more than 650 dealers to help thousands of people across the country buy the car they need, and we have done all of that from Killarney," said deputy chief executive Caroline O'Shea.

The company has agreed a €160m institutional funding facility with international banking partners, which its said is helping its future expansion. “Our focus now is on continued, sustainable growth. That means continuing to invest in our people, our systems and our controls, and adding to our team here in Kerry as the business grows," said Ms O'Shea.
