Cully & Sully parent company sees turnover hit €37m

The company behind the Cully & Sully soup range saw turnover jump 32% to €37m, according to its latest financial statement.

Cully & Sully founders Colum O’Sullivan and Cullen Allen sold their business to international food and personal-care company Hain Celestial in 2012. The company’s Irish operation produces soups and readymade meals in the Irish, UK, and EU market under the Cully & Sully brand, and also sells and markets other brands including Hartley's brand jam and jelly, Sun Pat peanut butter, Cadbury spreads, and Linda McCartney frozen meals.

Hain Celestial Ireland saw profit of €3.4m for the year ended June 2025, up from €2.58m a year earlier. The company had 16 employees over the year and wages and salaries cost €1.54m. Directors’ renumerations stood at €430,607.

In April 2026, co-founder Mr Allen resigned as a director of Hain Celestial Ireland. Cully & Sully was established in 2003 by Mr O’Sullivan and Mr Allen, with the company’s offerings branching out from its soup range to pies and hotpots. The company was sold to Hain Celestial in 2012 but Mr O’Sullivan and Mr Allen remained on as directors, with the company headquarters now on Boreenmanna Road in Cork. Cully & Sully soups are made exclusively in Ireland.

The current directors are Mr O’Sullivan, Wolfgang Goldenitsch, Lee Boyce, and David Gubbins. 

Parent company Hain Celestial Jersey Ltd which is headquartered in the US has revenues of $1.8bn and employs more than 2,800 people worldwide.
