S&W boosts its group outsourcing services with new hire

Ciara McGlanaghy joins professional services group S&W from previous role with Beyond Accounting

Professional services group S&W has appointed Ciara McGlanaghy as director of outsourcing, in Sandyford, Dublin.

Ciara will play a lead role in S&W’s business functions of finance, payroll, compliance, and annual financial statements. She joins S&W from Axonista, where she was director of finance. She brings more than two decades of financial leadership experience to her new role.

Ciara previously worked with Beyond Accounting. She also spent a decade with online recruitment specialist Saongroup, where she was group financial controller. Ciara started her career in finance as an accounting technician and is an ACCA-qualified accountant.

Ciara said: “The skillset I have combines my freelance practice experience with the financial controllerships and directorships I held in previous roles, and I can bring that to S&W and to our client base.” S&W outsourcing services span bookkeeping, payroll management, accounting, year-end financial statements, and company secretarial.

“We have a specialist team that can provide a full suite of services and help unlock value for a company by tapping into the support we offer. As client needs scale up and down, they may need tailored or specialist team support, which we can also provide,” Ciara explained.

John O’Callaghan, Managing Partner in S&W’s Ireland business, added: “We are delighted that Ciara has joined us to head our outsourcing business in Dublin. Her appointment in conjunction with our recent Cork acquisition is an important development in our national growth plans.” 

 Last year, S&W’s business outsourcing services and tax offering were bolstered with the acquisition of Beechwood Partners in Dublin and MC2 Accountants in Cork.
