Zambrero serves Mexican-style burritos, tacos, and bowls. Founded in Australia in 2005, the brand has locations across Ireland and in the UK, New Zealand, and the US. Former Leinster and Connacht rugby player Darragh Fanning brought the Zambrero franchise to Ireland in 2016, having come across the chain while playing in Canberra, and opened the first Zambrero location on Dublin’s Hatch Street in February 2016.
Zambrero has over 36 locations in Ireland with Cork outlets at Dennehys Cross, Douglas Village Shopping Centre, Sallybrook in Glanmire, and at Eastgate in Little Island.
Established during the pandemic, the Marina Market is Cork's largest market and has over 35 food and drink vendors in place. Developer Tom Coughlan has also pitched his Marina Market location in the Cork Docklands as the location for a city's long-awaited events centre.
