Kilkenny law firm adds to its surrogacy, immigration and property expertise

SUBSCRIBEKilkenny-based Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan Solicitors has appointed Aileen Gittens and Cathy Power as partners, strengthening the firm’s surrogacy, immigration and property law expertise. Meanwhile, Julie McEvoy is promoted to senior associate.
John Hickey, managing partner, Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan, said: “Aileen and Cathy bring exceptional expertise, deep knowledge and hands-on experience. Julie’s promotion to senior associate reflects continued development of talent in key practice areas.”
Aileen Gittens will work alongside Annette Hickey in the firm’s surrogacy practice. With the firm since 2023, Aileen has advised clients pursuing international and domestic surrogacy on all aspects of the Irish legal process.
A native of Co Carlow, Aileen worked as a solicitor in Dublin for a number of years prior to joining the firm.
Cathy Power has been promoted to partner in property, having worked on numerous high-value real estate and property transactions since. From Kilkenny, she worked with firms in Dublin and Carlow before joining Poe Kiely Hogan Lanigan in 2024.
Julie McEvoy practices in the area of general litigation, specialising in medical negligence, personal injuries, and commercial litigation. She is originally from Co Laois.
