Business movers: People starting new jobs in Ireland

Here is a selection of people starting new roles with Davy, IDA Ireland, Climb Channel Solutions, Chadwicks Group, Insight Private Clients and The Shannon Region Conference & Sports Bureau.
Richard Bruens has been appointed as a non-executive director on the board of Davy, the wealth management and capital markets firm. Richard brings significant experience in financial technology, leadership qualities and extensive knowledge of international wealth management services. He holds an MBA from the Alliance Manchester Business School at The University of Manchester. He is chair of CCV and European Merchant Services, two leading Dutch payment companies owned by FISERV. He is CEO of the Dutch Sport Tech Fund, a venture capital firm. He was previously CEO of the wealth business of Dutch wealth management Van Lanschot Kempen, which he continues to advise in a senior advisory role.
Anne-Marie Tierney Le Roux has been appointed as divisional manager for technology, content, consumer and business services with IDA Ireland. In taking up her new position, Anne-Marie also becomes a member of the executive leadership team at IDA Ireland. She has held a number of roles across IDA, including director of Europe and department manager for technology, a role she has held since 2021. “Anne-Marie’s experience and qualifications will further strengthen our leadership team and will support our continued focus on fostering innovation, attracting investment, and building enduring relationships with our clients and partners,” said Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland.
Mike Holt has been appointed as territory manager for Ireland with Climb Channel Solutions Ireland, an international specialty technology distributor and wholly owned subsidiary of Climb Global Solutions. Mike will manage and grow sales and strategic relationships with key partners. A business development and sales leader with over 25 years’ experience, Mike has held senior roles with tech sector leaders, including as global business consultant with Xplora, EMEA director with Spacetalk, and EMEA director of channels and alliances with HiveIO, driving growth across technology, SaaS, security, and OEM partnerships. Mike holds a certificate in Electronics from Salford College and a HDip in Computer Technology from London Electronics College.
Caitríona McGovern has been appointed as head of category management at Chadwicks Group, the builders providers and DIY outlet. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening the Lightside product range. She will also oversee the buying of over 55,000 in-store home and building products across over 70 Chadwicks Group and MacNaughton Blair locations. She joins the team with over 25 years of experience in retail and commercial leadership. Before this, she held roles as head of buying and trading roles at Brown Thomas Arnotts and Dunnes Stores. “I look forward to working with the team and our supplier partners to deliver quality, value and convenience,” said Caitríona.
Josephine Cussen has been appointed as a senior consultant in the Cork office of Insight Private Clients. The firm provides independent financial advisory and wealth management services, helping individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters, grow their wealth, and plan confidently for the future. Josephine is a certified financial planner with 30 years’ experience in financial services. Before joining Insight Private Clients, she was working as a private client adviser delivering client-specific financial and wealth management solutions for a broad portfolio of clients. “Josephine will provide clients with tailored, experienced and qualified advice of the highest calibre,” said Norman Barry, managing director with Insight Private Clients.
Stephen O’Connor, general manager of The Strand Hotel, Limerick, has been appointed as the new chair of board of The Shannon Region Conference & Sports Bureau. Stephen has worked with the MHL Hotel Collection for over 11 years, including roles at The Harbour Hotel Galway and, for the past seven years, as GM of The Strand Hotel. A graduate of Atlantic Technological University with a degree in Business, he also trained in Switzerland with the InterContinental Group and has held senior roles across Ireland. He is also the incoming president of Limerick Central Rotary and has also been chair of the Irish Hotels Federation Shannon Branch.
