Pharma company Aenova creates 10 jobs as it announces expansion of its Kerry facility
Aenova employs around 70 people directly at its Killorglin facility.
Pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing firm Aenova has announced a significant expansion of its facility in Killorglin, Co Kerry, with the creation of 10 new jobs.
The new roles will be in the areas of research, and development, pharmaceutical technology and analytics. The project is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland.
The company said the investment will place the site at the centre of its development capabilities in particle engineering. It will be focusing on spray-dried amorphous solid dispersions and inhalation powders.
Florent Bordet, chief scientific officer at Aenova, said “bioavailability is crucial for new pharmaceutical active ingredients” and “our new spray drying technology in Killorglin can help to address this issue and aid our customers bring their products to market faster”.
The site in Kerry was originally established in 1972 as Klinge Pharma. In 2007, Temmler Pharma took over the Killorglin site and in 2012, Temmler Pharma was acquired by Aenova Group.
Aenova employs approximately 70 people directly at its Killorglin facility, along with many other downstream positions in their many service providers.

Enterprise minister Peter Burke said the investment is a “strong vote of confidence in the south-west region’s skilled workforce, world-class research partnerships, and thriving life sciences ecosystem”.
