Golden Discs co-founder Jack Fitzgerald dies, aged 94

Jack Fitzgerald and Tom Rogers, who co-founded Golden Discs in the 1960s. Mr Fitzgerald has died, aged 94.

The co-founder of Golden Discs, Jack Fitzgerald, has died, aged 94. 

Mr Fitzgerald co-founded the Trans-Atlantic Record Agency (TARA) with Tom Rogers in 1962. Four years later, in 1966, they rebranded as Golden Discs, opening a store in Ireland’s first shopping mall in Stillorgan.
