Property developer Fitzpatrick & Heavey Group has announced a merger with Cork-based CTS Construction & Trade Supplies into one of its divisions.
Based in Coachford Business Park, CTS will integrate into Eurometals — a division within Fitzpatrick & Heavey — enhancing its distribution capabilities across Ireland.
Fitzpatrick & Heavey managing director Ciarán Fitzpatrick said the merger means the company can “expand our product range and deliver an even higher standard of service”.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for us, and we remain committed to maintaining the quality and reliability our customers expect,” he said.
The merger took effect from Saturday.
Fitzpatrick & Heavey is a property development company with housing developments currently underway in Cork, Offaly, Wicklow, Westmeath, and Dublin.
It currently has approximately 350 homes under construction.
The company’s Eurometals division has been operating in the plastering sector since 1981, and it specialises in the design and manufacturing of Mini Mesh, beads, and profiles. Fitzpatrick & Heavey acquired Eurometals in October 2023.
CTS Construction & Trade Supplies distributes niche and bespoke building products, specialising in plastering and metal products.
The current Eurometals division operates out of a 20,000sq ft manufacturing and distribution centre in Saggart, Dublin. The integration of CTS brings an additional 5,000sq ft of distribution space in Cork — with further expansion plans already in motion.
Fitzpatrick & Heavey said these two facilities working together will help improve logistical efficiency, broadening the product offering, and ensuring even more timely and reliable service to customers.
Following the merger, Fitzpatrick & Heavey said it plans to invest a further €1m to develop and expand the business.
CTS Construction & Trade Supplies managing director Fergus Hickey said this is a “positive step forward for us”, as “Eurometals is a highly respected name in our industry with decades of experience and strong relationships”.
