Eir hit with over 600 customer care issues in final three months of 2024, says ComReg

The customer care team of ComReg recorded more than 500 fixed service provider issues for Eir in the final three months of 2024, with a further 125 mobile service provider issues being recorded for the telecommunications company.
Publishing its Customer Care Statistics Report for the final quarter of last year, ComReg recorded 281 fixed service provider issues for Vodafone, which was in addition to 164 mobile service provider issues. Some 136 mobile service provider issues were also recorded for Three.
A further 256 fixed service provider issues were recorded for Sky, with 216 being reported for Virgin Media, ComReg said.
The commission's consumer care team recorded approximately 6,900 consumer contacts between October and December last year, compared to 8,200 consumer contacts in the previous three months.
In addition, approximately 2,900 issues were recorded, compared to 3,300 issues in the previous quarter. ComReg’s Consumer Care team managed approximately 2,000 contacts from Service Providers during the final three months of 2024, which was down slightly from the 2,200 contacts during the previous quarter.
