Ikea launches seven new 'Click and Collect' sites across Ireland
It brings to 21 the total number of Ikea ‘Click and Collect’ sites at Tesco across Ireland.
Ikea has launched seven new ‘Click and Collect’ sites, in collaboration with Tesco Ireland, the retailer announced on Monday.
The collection will allow customers to pick-up their orders for free if the order is over €200, while orders under €200 will cost €15. Customers will be able to collect their Ikea order from a designated area within their local Tesco car park.
Following a successful pilot programme in Cork, Louth, and Kildare in May 2023, the seven new sites will be in Tesco stores across Louth, Westmeath, Kerry, Wicklow, Mayo and Dublin.
It brings to 21 the total number of Ikea ‘Click and Collect’ sites at Tesco across Ireland.
When placing an order online, customers will go through the usual checkout option and select the collection service for their local Tesco, Ikea said.
Jayne Owen-Gauld, Ikea Market Manager in Ireland, said: "We're incredibly proud of our partnership with Tesco Ireland, which has allowed us to bring convenient and affordable collection services, including our highly successful ‘Click and Collect’ option, to customers across key locations.
"The positive reception has been fantastic and resulting in us expanding the service to seven more communities.
Darrin Honer, Country Operations Manager, Tesco Ireland said: “We’re pleased to expand our partnership with Ikea Ireland to introduce new pick-up points in more of our car parks across the country."
This expansion of the ‘Click and Collect’ service is the latest in a series of investments by Ikea in Ireland. In the last year alone, the furniture retailer has opened a 450,000 square foot Customer Distribution Centre in west Dublin, creating over 120 jobs.
This is in addition to several Plan & Order Points in locations including Naas, Dublin, Drogheda, Cork, Carlow, and Sligo, with more planned.
