Uisce Éireann has announced 700 new jobs across the country, marking the utility's largest recruitment announcement to date.

The national water authority said the positions would be available in the next year.

It will be recruiting across several departments and roles will be available for professionals, tradespeople, recent graduates, and skilled workers.

"We are filling an exciting range of roles in all counties, including front-line operations, science and engineering, administration, communications, management, and IT," said Uisce Éireann’s people and safety director Dawn O’Driscoll.

"These new positions will not only offer a chance to make a tangible difference to your community but will provide plenty of opportunities to develop your career in a growing organisation."

The announcement comes as part of Co Limerick continues to be under a boil notice since May 2023 and the ongoing "water crisis" in Cork.
