Waterford IT firm HCS to expand services to Britain

Mick Brown: Will spearhead the new division at Waterford firm HCS.
Waterford cybersecurity and IT firm HCS is to grow its international business with the launch of its productivity division.
The company is consolidating its specialist offering in digital transformation services to launch the division in the Irish and British markets.
The UK launch is being supported by Enterprise Ireland. HCS will create eight jobs within the specialised team in the first year, primarily in software development.
Headquartered in Waterford, HCS also operates bases in Dublin and Cork.
Mick Brown has joined HCS as head of digital transformation and biz apps and will spearhead the new division.
The productivity division will use Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 and Power Platform and provide digital strategy consulting, app development, business intelligence, and data analytics services to small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Ireland and Britain.
HCS configures these Microsoft platforms and develops bespoke software using code developed in-house to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Enterprise Ireland’s South East regional director Martin Corkery said it was proud to back the development at HCS and to support its expansion in the UK market.
"HCS’s investment in innovation and talent will drive its future growth and Enterprise Ireland looks forward to working with the team on this ambitious strategy," he said.
Mr Brown said the new division will consolidate their expertise in the development of bespoke Microsoft business platforms for small to medium-sized businesses.
"We are focused on empowering businesses to stay competitive, meet evolving customer expectations, and embrace innovation. We look forward to continuing to grow our own business while helping our customers to transform their operations," he said.
