Recruitment drive announced for the Irish Prison Service

This campaign is the first competition for recruit Prison Officers to be held for the Irish Prison Service since 2008.

A recruitment drive for an additional 360 prison officers has been announced.

The Irish prison service will take on 120 new officers per year for the next three years with the first recruits entering the Irish Prison Service College in early 2017.
