Aldi staff set to receive pay rise

Supermarket Aldi's pledged to put staff wages up to a minimum of €11.50 an hour from next February.

That means an increase of 4.5% on the entry level pay for store assistants and 10% for stock assistants and caretakers, who will benefit most from the new rate.
