Hong Kong shares dive amid China sell-off

Hong Kong’s main stock index dived 8% today as investors were rattled by a sharp sell-off in mainland Chinese shares.

Other markets in Asia were also sharply down.

The Shanghai Composite Index was off 5.9% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 was down 3.1%.
