EU court rules Ryanair and Aer Lingus do not have to pay travel-tax fines

The EU's highest court has ruled that Aer Lingus and Ryanair will not have to pay tens of millions of euro in fines in a row over the travel tax.

Ryanair had complained that the original travel tax discriminated against some passengers, who had to pay a higher fare if they were travelling abroad.
