Beef farmers plan 24-hour protest outside factories

Beef farmers are to hold a 24-hour protest outside meat factories next week to highlight dropping prices.

The IFA said Irish factories are paying €350 per head of cattle less than in the UK, and that falling prices have inflicted serious income damage on producers over the past 12 months.
