British bookmaker William Hill said sports revenue growth in the quarter to September 30 was significantly boosted by a year-on-year swing in its win margin.

Favourable sporting results, including a strong end to the World Cup, meant overall group revenues were 23% higher and operating profits rose 89% in the third quarter of its financial year.
