ISME: Poor access to credit stalling economic recovery
More than half of all small and medium sized businesses say they have been refused finance from the banks in the past three months.
That is according to research carried out by ISME, the group representing small and medium enterprises.
It says the poor access to credit is continuing to stall the recovery and it is calling on the Government to speed up the legislation to open a more business-friendly bank in Ireland.
CEO of ISME Mark Fielding says expertise from abroad may also help.
