UTV take on former RTE Director as head of Irish channel

UTV has appointed Mary Curtis as the head of its new Irish TV channel.

Ms Curtis was previously Deputy Director of television programmes at RTE and left the national broadcaster in September 2013 to set up a consultancy.

UTV Ireland plans to start broadcasting next year.
