90 jobs created in Monaghan and Dublin

90 new jobs are to be created at Irish food producer Glanbia.

The Minister for Employment, Richard Bruton, said the creation of the new jobs is a "major boost" for the food sector.

40 of the positions will be based at a new facility in Monaghan to produce long-life milk and cream for export to China, Europea and the Middle East.

Glanbia - which makes Avonmore and Premier dairy products - is also opening a new office in Dublin to co-ordinate exports of its sport nutrition brands - with the creation of 50 new jobs.
