ISME: Banks still hindering access to credit

ISME says 70% of businesses believe the Government is having a negative impact, or no impact at all, on SME lending.

According to the small businesses association's Quarterly Bank Watch survey, half of companies who applied for funding in the last three months were refused credit by their banks.

Up to 59% say banks are making it more difficult to access finance and ISME's Chief Executive Mark Fielding says the Government has to act.
