Average prices down slightly

Prices were 0.1% higher on average in October compared with October 2012, according to the CSO's Consumer Price Index.

The most notable changes in the year were increases in Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (+5.3%), Education (+4.6%) and Restaurants & Hotels (+1.8%).
