The credit rating agency Moody's has upgraded its outlook on Ireland's sovereign debt from "negative" to "stable".

The credit rating agency Moody's has upgraded its outlook on Ireland's sovereign debt from "negative" to "stable".

The agency said the change has come about thanks to the progress being achieved in restoring the country's financial solvency.

However, Ireland's rating is still in junk status territory at Ba1.
