Irish households slowly eliminating debt, new Central Bank figures show

Irish households are continuing to get out of debt, according to latest figures from the Central Bank.

The latest figures from the Central Bank show the average Irish householder has debts of around €172.3bn, or €37,500 per person – the lowest level of household debt since the end of 2006.
