'132' numberplates lead to three-fold increase in July sales

Car dealers are claiming that the new 132 numberplate has improved sales.

Industry figures show over 11,600 new cars were sold in July, the first month where the 132 plate was available - nearly three times the number of cars which were sold in the same month last year.
