Survey: Majority of small business owners losing sleep over recession
The tough economic climate has resulted in small Irish businesses losing more than just their profit margins, according to a new survey.
The report by office supplier Viking, shows the majority of Irish small business owners admitted to losing sleep because of the recession with 50% saying the main cause is fear of not being able to pay their bills.
Up to 25% cited "meeting customer demands" with 17% stating they are worried about "staffing".
A further 8" of respondents also say they are worried about "credit control".
On the positive side, 77% of those who said that the recession has affected their sleep patterns believe they are slightly more optimistic for the next three months.
