Audi sees sales increase in Ireland
Audi Ireland has increased its sales in the Irish car market.
The German-owned motoring company achieved a national market share of 5.5% for the month of August and 4.6% year-to-date.
In just eight months, the company claims, Audi has managed to surpass its total 2011 sales figures.
Andrew Doyle, managing director of Audi Ireland commented: "The first eight months of 2012 have witnessed Audi increase sales by 9.2 percent in Ireland. Despite the challenges faced by the motor industry as a whole, we have managed to successfully grow our business and increase our market share.
"In just eight months this year more customers have taken home a new Audi than did in the full year of 2011 - this is certainly very satisfying, and a reflection of the strong demand for outstanding Audi product."
The Audi A6 model proved to be particularly successful with Irish motorists and the Audi brand also booked strong growth with the A1 and A4 models.
