Hungary’s parliament has approved the government’s intention to join a new agreement among most European Union nations that is designed to limit public spending and end the bloc’s sovereign debt crisis.

Hungary’s parliament has approved the government’s intention to join a new agreement among most European Union nations that is designed to limit public spending and end the bloc’s sovereign debt crisis.

Politicians from the coalition supporting prime minister Viktor Orban, as well the Socialist Party, the largest opposition group, voted in favour of the proposal backing the so-called fiscal compact.
