Record drop in consumer sentiment in December

Last month saw the biggest monthly drop in consumer sentiment in more than 10 years.

According to figures for December from KBC bank and the ESRI, concerns about the euro, a tough budget and the feeling that there's more pain to come made Irish consumers more nervous at the end of the year.
