Euro can be world's leading currency: ECB member
The euro may become the world's leading currency in a decade, according to a member of the governing council of the European Central Bank.
Christian Noyer made the comments during an interview with the French weekly Journal du Dimanche.
According to the article, the euro has already become the second-leading reserve currency after the US dollar.
Speaking as the Eurozone marks 10 years since the introduction of the common currency, Noyer said that the region can return to strength if decisions made at last month's EU summit are implemented.
