Retail sales fell by 0.5% between June and July and by 0.6% in the year to July, according to new figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

Retail sales fell by 0.5% between June and July and by 0.6% in the year to July, according to new figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

However, if the motor trade is excluded - sales actually rose by 0.5% in the month - and fell by 2.3% in the year.
