Bank of Ireland releases details of private investors

Bank of Ireland has today released details of the private investors which came forward earlier in the week to buy a substantial stake in the bank.
In a statement, the bank said that it is taking the step to quell "speculative rumours" concerning the €1.12bn deal.
The investment is led by Fairfax Financial Holdings, including WL Ross, Capital Research - part of The Capital Group - Fidelity Investments and Kennedy Wilson.
The deal, which will be completed in two stages subject to regulatory approval, means the bank will be at least 68% privately owned, and can stay out of State hands.
