The European Union has given temporary approval to the plan which would see Bank of Ireland get up to €5.35bn in aid.

The European Union has given temporary approval to the plan which would see Bank of Ireland get up to €5.35bn in aid.

Final approval will be subject to the bank submitting a restructuring plan by the end of July.
