The International Monetary Fund has cut its forecast for growth in the US.

The International Monetary Fund has cut its forecast for growth in the US.

It is also warning Washington and the debt-ridden countries of Europe to "stop playing with fire" and reduce their deficits.

The fund thinks things have worsened since it forecast 2.8% growth from America this year, and 2.9% in 2012.
