Dublin conference looking for companies with a conscience

The hunt is on for business people who want to start a company with a conscience.

A conference on so-called 'social entrepreneurship' is kicking off in the capital later.

The focus is on increasing social economy in Ireland from the current 3% to European levels - around 7%.

Organisers say expansion in areas like green business, community groups and work involving people with disabilities has the potential to create 5,000 jobs in Ireland every year.
