MEPs call for increase in fuel subsidies for fishing industry

MEPs have called for a massive rise in fuel subsidies for the fishing industry.

A cross-party resolution approved in Strasbourg today said emergency measures were urgently needed to help the hard-pressed fishing industry cope with high oil prices.
