An announcement by the Minister for Justice and Equality Alan Shatter TD that he is bringing forward proposals to reform and streamline landlord and tenant law for businesses has been welcomed.

The Minister today announced that he is starting the consultation process to replace a large body of landlord and tenant laws for business tenancies. He also confirmed that he is prioritising the abolition of upwards-only rent reviews for existing business leaseholders.
