Toyota resuming car production

Toyota said it will resume car production at all Japanese plants from April 18 to 27.

The world’s biggest carmaker said today that all of its 18 plants in Japan will operate at limited capacity due to parts shortages.

The March 11 quake and tsunami crippled car parts suppliers in northern Japan and caused severe parts shortages.

The disasters forced Toyota to halt production in Japan from March 14 to 26.
