ISME: Rise in inflation serves as warning to Government
The Irish Small and Medium Enterprises Association (ISME) has called on the Government to pay heed to today’s announcement of a further sharp rise in inflation, increasing from 2.2% the previous month to 3%, the highest level since October 2008.
Commenting, Mark Fielding ISME Chief Executive said: "The latest sharp rise in inflation is deeply worrying, from an SME perspective, with dramatically increasing inflation continuing to add to the business cost base, in turn undermining competitiveness and leading to further job losses”.
