Survey: Most employers happy with third-level graduates

A new survey by IBEC has revealed that most employers are happy with the standard of third-level graduates they employ.

The employers body surveyed 340 companies employing more than a 100,000 staff.

Many businesses did say however that graduates often have a problem working independently and that their people skills need to improve.

The survey also revealed that the most serious shortcomings occur in engineering-related disciplines.
