Dempsey: Trucker levies not due until 2017 at earliest

The Transport Minister has said new EU levies on road hauliers will not be imposed until 2017 at the earliest.

Noel Dempsey said he had secured a longer lead-in time for the proposals, due to the pressures facing the sector.
