Sainsbury's and Waitrose increase UK market share

British supermarkets Sainsbury’s and Waitrose continued to post market share gains in the 12 weeks to October 3 – up from 15.7% to 15.9% and 4% to 4.2% respectively, according to Kantar Worldpanel’s latest figures.

Tesco’s share remained static at 30.9%, although embattled Asda saw a further fall, from 17.2% to 17.1%.
