Cowen to announce venture capital boost for Dublin

The Taoiseach is expected to announce today that a top global venture capital firm is to set up operations in Dublin.

Brian Cowen is making the announcement as part of the 'Innovation Fund Ireland' strategy which he launched in New York in July.

The aim of the strategy is to attract top firms here to provide capital to Irish companies.

The Taoiseach will also meet later with the Finnish Prime Minister who is in Dublin to discuss trade and innovation issues.
