Aer Arann management look to reassure staff over jobs
Management at Aer Arann are looking to reassure staff that their jobs are safe despite an examiner being appointed to the company.
The High Court last night approved the move after it emerged the airline had lost €18m since 2008.
Michael McAteer from Grant Thornton has now been tasked with putting a restructuring plan in place.
Aer Arann's Director of Corporate Affairs Andrew Kelly has said he hopes staff will be protected during the process.
Mr Kelly said: "We don't have huge staff numbers, we don't require much restructuring and we intend to preserve as many jobs as we can."
