Overseas visits to Ireland were down more than 20% in the first half of this year, new figures revealed today.

Overseas visits to Ireland were down more than 20% in the first half of this year, new figures revealed today.

The country played host to more than 2.6 million foreign visitors between January and June, with a drop of around a quarter in tourist trips from the UK and other parts of Europe.
