German transport operator Deutsche Bahn said today its acquisition of bus and train operator Arriva was complete.

German transport operator Deutsche Bahn said today its acquisition of bus and train operator Arriva was complete.

Deutsche Bahn announced the completion of the deal, valued at €1.94bn, in a statement.

It said Arriva generated about €3.8bn in revenue in 2009 and has some 42,000 employees in Europe.

Arriva operates buses and trains in 12 European countries, including Britain.
